about me
Motherhood pillow
Every woman deserves a “pillow” that will make her feel comfortable, supported and protected during her journey of motherhood. A pillow that can be used as an object of relief and comfort, as a protective shield, as a force of strength…
Each pillow is unique as unique is every woman/ mother. Unique in shape, color, texture, filling, touch, and smell as it contains her personality, her past, her future, her fears, her vulnerabilities, her strengths.
Motherhood pillow embraces every woman, mother, caregiver, who braves worries, concerns, and fears during the sensitive period of motherhood and parenting. It provides a safe, non-judgmental and comfortable environment to feel connected, supported and understood.

my goal
Most of the information provided regarding the perinatal period focuses on the physical health of the woman and the baby. Little to no reference is made with respect to the emotional changes, challenges, and threats during this period. My work is based on breaking the silence and standing by the side of every woman and mother who might feel shame and embarrassment due to their emotional state. It is important to acknowledge and name any issue or distress and make clear that no woman is alone in this journey of motherhood and has the right to receive appropriate support and help.
My goal is to create for these women a sense of being held in order to be able to, in turn, hold their baby physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Every baby/child deserves unconditional love, and every parent deserves to rejoice in parenthood!

I am a psychotherapist, MSc. I had completed my postgraduate studies in Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy from the American College of Greece. I have been trained in Infant Observation (Tavistock Model) and Perinatal Psychotherapy (Postpartum Support International). I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have conducted research on motherhood and prematurity as well as on grieving and loss during preschool and first school age.
I’m continuing and expanding my knowledge by attending various workshops and seminars, regarding parent-infant psychotherapy, early years interventions, developmental psychology, trauma and repair, parenting, children’s drawings, etc.
I have provided brief counseling sessions for undergraduate students at the Counseling Center of the American College of Greece, as well as to individuals with a variety of mental health issues at the Municipality Clinic of Athens, Greece. Additionally, I was part of the team of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service at the Community Mental Health Center of Byron-Kaisariani in Athens, where I conducted initial interviews, assessments of school-aged children, and counseling sessions for parents. I also took part in the “Safe Touch” program for the prevention of child sexual abuse in Greece (NGO ELIZA), where I performed an interactive puppet show that provides children with the tools they need to prevent and report child abuse. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was providing psychological support to people in need through the online platform Milamou.gr.
I provide my services in English and Greek through online and face-to-face sessions.
